Rice Flakes (Poha)
Poha is the perfect meal. It’s jam-packed with fibre, carbohydrates, antioxidants and essential vitamins. Being rich in fibre, Poha promotes a slow and steady release of sugar into the bloodstream, thereby preventing any sudden spikes in blood sugar levels. Flattened Rice: It’s used in a variety of cuisines as an ingredient for breakfast, brunch or mid-meal snacks.
USAGE
Poha is made by partly cooking paddy and then drying it out in the sun for hours until it turns a bit harder. They are then pounded and flattened to give the form of ‘flat rice’ or Poha. It does not go through a lot of processing and is generally not polished.
