GREEN GRAM WHOLE (SABUT MOONG)
The Whole green or sabut moong dal by Mewa Basket are small, round, olive-green coloured legumes with a sweet flavour. They are one of the healthiest sources of plant protein. The mung or moong bean is the seed of Vigna radiata, belonging to the Indian subcontinent. They are yellow once the skins are removed.
USAGE
They are typically eaten in curries, salads, soups, and stir fry dishes. In the South Indian States, these whole beans are seasoned with spices and freshly grated coconut in a preparation called ‘Pesalu’. Most commonly, these are used to make bean sprouts by germinating seeds in various Asian dishes and salads.
